Content writers have great perks. They have the freedom to write as they please, communicate, work as freelancers, travel while working, enjoy the benefits of being an affiliate writer and the list goes on. Lack Of Recognition

Content writing does not get you much recognition in the world of writing or in the world of business. Often times we have to scrape as ghostwriters for various businesses, websites, and blog posts. Our hard work could be under the name of someone completely different and it could be getting recognition from all over the world. But your name is stripped off the piece of hard work.

Hard work For Little Pay 

If you are lucky you could price fifty to a hundred dollars for one nice 500 worded article. But the common reality is that for your five hundred word article, people will not pay a dime above 10 dollars. Unless you are extremely credited and well recognized. Being in the limelight can help you jack up the prices but in the sea of competition, we always have to bring it down to a little number. 

It Won’t Give You A digital Nomad Life 

Content writers do not always have the typical nomad life as advertised. Often times when someone lists the professions of digital nomads they list content writing. If you are writing for a company, it is likely that you are not going to be paid to travel to the area. Or to the situated region of the business. Even if you travel out of your own pocket, you will be confined to the safety of your home as you struggle to meet your deadlines. The sunset will pass by you as you are writing the fifth article of the day. Sunrise gets missed because you are tired from working all night. Jet leg starts getting to your creativity, and the safety of your home is not exactly homely because you are in an unknown country. So if you are thinking about a content writing career for travel, you might need to think again. 

Not All good Clients

Unfortunately, we rarely meet all good clients. Some of them will be wholesome. Some of them will give you amazing contracts and benefits. But others will give you nothing but trouble and endless pain. Competition is tense and it is hard to land good clients. So most of the time we end up taking what we get as we go up the ladder. Until we get to have our own pick of clients, we may need to struggle a little.
